Jan Marini Physical Protectant is an amazing mineral SPF. No pilling or grease, and the tint is way nicer/more natural-looking than Elta’s and others’ versions.
re: First Aid Beauty serum. Curious if I should avoid it as someone who's acne-prone because of the algae (chlorella vulgaris extract). What do you think?
Hey! Good question, but I don't know if I have a great answer. I have not had a problem with this serum breaking me out (and I do consider myself breakout prone). However, I don't know that the serum is SPECIAL ENOUGH to risk it if you're worried (why spend money on something that's going to worry you?). What I like about the FAB serum is the bouncy texture -- it's not too watery so it mixes well with pigment. I think you could sub in Glossier's Priming Moisturizer Balance or something from the Aveeno Calm + Restore Oat line (either the moisturizer or the serum) and end up with the same overall result.
